Grid Computing:

GMU is now a member of XSEDE (Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment) which provides digital resources and services to research scientists all over the world.  XSEDE provides an array of services to ensure that researchers can make the most of supercomputers.  There is no charge to use these resources.  Grid computing is  available through XSEDE.  If the computational facilities available on the GMU campus do not meet the researchers’ needs, then needed facilities can be obtained from XSEDE.

Each University has a “Campus Champion” who acts as the facilitator for campus researchers to access the XSEDE resources.  The current GMU campus champion is Jayshree Sarma.

Cloud Computing:

XSEDE provides cloud computing resources.  Talk to your Campus Champion for details.
